REVIEWS
I thought the teacher Shalini was lovely and welcoming. I am new to painting and have never used acrylic paints before and she showed us different techniques to use your mind to produce flowers. I really enjoyed the session and the company. Had a lovely relaxing afternoon.

The venue was great, lots of light. The Tutor was lovely and very informative, loved the meditation at the start it was just what I needed. To slow down and think about the space and time and to listen clearly to all the information. Enjoyed the session, shame that there was not more of us (2) as know that it would have benefited so many new artist on the journey to self discovery.

I enjoyed the class - particularly when Georgina demonstrated how to create the facial features herself which we then went on to try ourselves. Not great lighting in the classroom and i would have preferred a longer class which incorporated a break for coffee. A follow-up would be good.

As a starter, mark making, learning to shade and colour blending it was good. Georgina knows how to teach and how to draw. She explained everything clearly. She was accommodating and welcoming.

This painting grew of its own accord. I enjoy doing unplanned abstracts on an empty canvas, then put it on one side until it speaks to me. I?ve been married for over fifty years. It?s not easy needs change over the years. But one day, I felt huge love and gratitude for our marriage and was able to paint things I do not say.

Painted plein air in oil and finishing the studio. A special summer?s day spent with my husband who was fishing in the river upstream. A rare day of peace with only the birdsong and mayflies for company until the mower arrived!I had to pick grass off my wet paining as he flew by! Palette knife and creative mark making to the rescue !

I am fascinated by the way sun light breaks through trees and creates patterns of light, colour and shade across the woodland floor. This painting captures my impression of a corner of Batsford Arboretum where a stream has cut its way through the trees on a sunny day in 2025.

A hot June day while my husband fished upstream I sat on the bank and listened to the river sounds. The light was dancing and I wanted to rember it so out came the paints- only to be showered in grass as the zealous keeper swept past behind me on his mower! The light changed as the day wore on but the ambiance remained - so does the memory of a summers day spent by the river at Bossington bridge. No my husband did not catch a fish!

I loved this photograph from John Strachan photography and finally got around to painting it in acrylic. I tried to be quite loose with the painting as there was so much detail. in the end I thought the sky looked a bit bare so with the help of Chat GPT I added seagulls to the photo and was then able to paint them into my art work. This painting will be heading for the Aberdeen art show the end of August for sale.

I am Tracey, a self-taught artist from Plymouth, UK, I have been developing my coloured pencil techniques for the past year . My aim is always to capture not only the likeness of an animal but also the personality and spirit that make them so special to the people who love them.In this piece, Colin is shown resting amongst a vibrant meadow of wildflowers, his striking green eyes drawing the viewer in. The detailed fur work, delicate whiskers, and colourful floral surroundings were all carefull
